Cultivation of legumes, herbs and hemp
Legumes in strip cultivation
Field pea, white lupin and soybean yielded at a level similar to traditional cultivation. Reduced tillage and strip sowing can be successfully used for faba bean, white and narrow-leaved lupin and soybean without reducing their yields.
Strip sowing, being environmentally friendly and consistent with the principles of sustainable agriculture and integrated crop protection, can be regarded as an agronomic factor mitigating the effects of drought that occurs during the growing season of legumes.

Technology in harmony with nature
The most important aspect of preparing soil for legumes is preserving its structure. A deeply loosened but non-inverted strip of soil gives the plants access to air and water while protecting the inter-rows against degradation.
Herbs and hemp also benefit from strip cultivation — the preserved soil structure, moisture-storing mulch and undisturbed biological life create stable conditions for the development of plants with varying requirements.
- Preserved soil structure — no pulverising or silting up.
- Mulch in the inter-rows stores water and limits evaporation.
- Active biological life of the soil supports nitrogen fixation by legumes.
- Strip sowing mitigates the effects of drought during the growing season.

Measurable benefits
Results proven in practice on farms using strip-till technology.
precise sub-surface application in the root zone
tillage, fertilising and seeding in a single pass
you cultivate only the seed strip, not the whole field
fewer passes and reduced disturbance of the soil
